Island of Youth – 1.65MW (2007)
The “Isle of Youth” is a territory that is not connected to the national Electricity Energy System in Cuba and is entirely dependent on fossil fuels. It is located in the path of tradewinds that hit its eastern coast year-round at 4-6 meters per second hence its potential for wind energy is very high.
