| English Abstract |
Research paper with the purpose of looking into the possibility of substituting the diesel system for solar energy as an alternative for the supply of electricity for the interland and if this substitution can lead to a reduction of the costs of electricity. This substitution could result in a reduction of the bugetary deficits and a decrease of the import dependency. This paper consists of two Parts: part one (chapters 1-3) is a technical and social-economic approach of the energy sector in Suriname; part two (chapters 4-7) specifically deals with the question of substitution. Furthermore a project description and an input output analysis are given. Finally the results and conclucions of the analysis are given with some recommendations by the author |
